Do you have any anxieties surrounding the holiday season? How do you navigate school/college talk around the dinner table? Sexuality? Mental health? Share some tips if you have any!
I, for one, get uncomfortable when people drill me on my academics, and now that I'm a senior, ask questions about my college process. In these cases, I would either try to establish a boundary or deflect these questions to my parents, who are better equipped to help me out of them.
I also feel the same way about academics, except it's my parents drilling me all year round and not just during the holidays :( . Unfortunately, none of my actual relatives live in the states so I don't see them for years on end.
I'm afraid I'm going to be bored the whole time. Normally, we would go to visit my friends from the place I used to live in (it's about a 2-hour drive with traffic), but now we're on lockdown so that isn't possible. Plus my sister is busy with college, my dad is busy with work, and my mom's break starts a week after mine. But on the bright side, at least I can FaceTime my friends and have fun with my golden retriever :)
